T.K.R. (Total Knee Replacement) and T.H.R. Accurate Bone Resection (Cutting):
Used for removing damaged bone surfaces in the femur and tibia (TKR) or acetabulum and femoral head (THR), using guides, saws, and reamers to ensure precise angles.
Implant Sizing and Trialing:
Instruments like trial components are used to test the fit and range of motion of the knee or hip implant before final placement.
Component Positioning:
Specialized jigs and guide systems are used to align, rotate, and set the tibial plateau, tibial bearing, and femoral components.
Soft Tissue Management:
Includes specialized retractors, graspers, and rongeurs for managing ligaments, removing posterior osteophytes (bone spurs) in the knee, or removing the labrum in hip procedures.
